Sonal Patel BSc (Hons) Ost
Consultant Osteopath

Profile
Sonal Patel BSc (Hons) Ost is a highly experienced Consultant Osteopath with over 26 years of clinical expertise in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal conditions, spinal health, sports injuries, and women’s health.
She delivers integrative, evidence-based care tailored to both acute and chronic presentations, with a strong focus on precision, clinical insight, and long-term patient wellbeing.
Since 2018, Sonal has been consulting at the HCA Wellington Outpatient and Diagnostics Centre in Elstree, working within an elite and expanding multidisciplinary team of doctors, surgeons, specialist consultants, and physiotherapists. These collaborations have enhanced her clinical practice and allow patients to access a comprehensive “one-stop” pathway for acute and complex musculoskeletal concerns, ensuring seamless, highly coordinated care.
Sonal regularly attends lectures and teaching sessions to continually expand her knowledge. This commitment ensures she remains up to date with the latest medical advancements, supporting improved patient outcomes and the highest standard of care.
Alongside her osteopathic practice, Sonal integrates holistic principles including Ayurveda and naturopathy to support whole-body health. Her approach empowers patients to take an active, informed role in their wellbeing, combining clinical expertise with a compassionate, personalised treatment philosophy.
Vision
Sonal’s vision is to empower every patient to move freely, live comfortably, and reconnect with their body’s natural capacity for healing. Osteopathy is not only about reducing pain but also about restoring balance, confidence, and long-term wellbeing.
Mission
Her mission is to provide evidence-based, trauma-informed osteopathic care that is both personalised and compassionate. Each treatment is designed to relieve pain, restore mobility, and support lasting health addressing the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.
Journey
Sonal graduated graduated with an Honours Degree from the British School of Osteopathy in 1999 and have continued to expand my training over the past 26 years. What began as Stanmore Osteopaths has evolved into Osteopathy & Wellness, rooted firmly in the principles of osteopathic medicine combining traditional medical knowledge with a patient-centred philosophy.
She has had the privilege of working alongside orthopaedic specialists and remain affiliated with the NHS Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. These collaborations have deeply informed my clinical practice and reinforced my holistic approach to care.

Inspiration and Passion
She believes that the body functions as an integrated whole where physical, emotional, and environmental stress all influence our ability to heal. Her approach is both holistic and trauma-informed, recognising that every person carries their own experiences within their body.
Alongside Osteopathy, She has a personal interest in incorporating principles from Ayurveda and Naturopathy into her approach to healing. These natural systems of medicine emphasise prevention, balance, and harmony with nature values that align closely with her philosophy of care.
By combining these insights with evidence-based osteopathic practice, she aims to support the body’s natural ability to regulate inflammation, reduce pain, and restore balance from within.
